A pastor and another church leader have a friendly debate about whether the Bible leads us to joy and laughter or to solemn seriousness alone. As part of their debate, they walk through four different Bible stories with lots of jokes and silliness. Originally performed with youth and adults, this play looks at the garden of Eden (Genesis 2), Saul and David’s power struggle (1 Samuel 16-18), Jeremiah wrangling with the people (Jeremiah 42-43), and Jesus with the loaves and fishes (Luke 9).
