Every year we do Vacation Bible School, but did you know that VBS traces back to one Sunday school teacher in Hopedale, Illinois? In 1894, D.T. Miles felt like she wasn’t getting enough time to teach children about the Bible. So, she got 40 of them signed up for 4 weeks of Bible school. All these years later, we’re still following her example!1
